Ben Affleck was all smiles as he reunited with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children in Florence, Italy on Thursday.
The “Argo” actor, who landed on a private plane, was pictured striding across the tarmac with his arms stretched wide open as his 11-year-old son, Samuel, ran to meet him.
Before Affleck was joined by his older children, Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, the father and son shared a tender embrace.
The 50-year-old, who was dressed in tan slacks and a blue button-up, was thrilled to see his children after spending time with his wife Jennifer Lopez in Southampton, N.Y.
The unusually cheerful actor soon made his way over to Garner, who was equally cheerful.
The couple, who were married from 2005 to 2018, appeared to have an animated talk for about 30 minutes before hugging goodbye.
The “13 Going on 30″ star, dressed casually in a striped shirt, was pictured inside a bookstore before heading out for a bite to eat.

While it’s unclear how long Garner was in Europe without Affleck, the mother of three was recently photographed in Malibu with her children.
On the same weekend that Affleck threw Lopez an extravagant birthday party in their new $60 million Beverly Hills property, the foursome was pictured enjoying brunch at Soho House on July 23.
Indeed, the “On the Floor” singer confirmed earlier this week that Affleck’s three children, as well as her own, were all present for the birthday celebration.
“All the kids were there, it was a gorgeous day full of sunshine and perfect for a pool party!!” she wrote in the July 31 edition of her “On The JLo” newsletter.
Massive bouquets of pink flowers, overflowing charcuterie trays, and tons of dancing — including on tables — characterized the lavish gathering.
Lopez, who has 15-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony, and Affleck have worked hard to integrate their families, which hasn’t been easy with so many teenagers living under one roof.
“They’re becoming adults. They are challenging everything in life. They’re looking at everything,” the “Mother” star said on the “Today” show in April.

However, she believes that their rebellious views are “great for our world.”
“I think they’re going to change the world, to be quite honest — oh, and make it so much better, so much better than what we did.”
