Meet Kim Kardashian And Saweetie’s Bold Bikini Designer

But, at the end of the day, no matter who is wearing his suits, the Black and Filipino designer wants his clients to feel sexy and confident — even godlike — regardless of their shape or size.

Nicki Minaj broke the internet in 2014 with her steamy “Anaconda” music video, in which she shakes her bodacious buns in a strappy, skin-baring red swimsuit by then-unknown designer Andru Wallace, who also styled the clip.

So it seems fated that the Los Angeles-based designer’s label, Haus of PinkLemonaid, would quickly become a go-to for other sexy stars like Kylie Jenner, Saweetie, and Kim Kardashian.

“When I saw Kim K. wearing my bathing suit I was really grateful, gracious and super thankful because I did not gift it to her; she actually purchased it from me,” Wallace said of the latter, who posed on Instagram in his $128 neon yellow “JAC” bikini in June and tagged his brand.

“The big [win] for me beyond the purchase is when customers tag me on social media. Giving recognition to me, as a small business owner … it means more to me than money. It’s them saying thank you for the hard work that you have put into create something for them,” the designer shared.

Dressing Kardashian in his stringy swimwear didn’t happen overnight; Wallace met a stylist who was working with the shapewear mogul on a magazine cover shoot and asked for some suits years ago.

“I went home and made 12 pieces and sent them over to him,” the designer recalled.

Wallace’s suits have now been spotted on dozens of other celebs, in addition to outfitting “pop culture icon” Kim Kardashian, and have been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue nearly 100 times, on bathing beauties including Ashley Graham and Emily Ratajkowski.

Wallace told us, “In the future, I would love to work with Rihanna that is someone who’s on my wish list. And of course, Beyoncé; those are my top two. I would love to collaborate with their own brands, like do some Haus of PinkLemonaid for Fenty or Haus of PinkLemonaid for Ivy Park.”

And, while we’re on the subject of the bad girl, he’s also eager to collaborate with her beau.

“I’d love to see A$AP Rocky in a Speedo; that’ll be a ‘couple goals’ moment for me. I’ve only recently begun [designing for] men; I have a classic Speedo brief and classic shorts,” he explained.

“To dress Rihanna and A$AP Rocky… it could be ‘Fashion Killa’ part two,” he added, referring to the rapper’s wildly stylish 2013 video featuring his now-girlfriend.

But, at the end of the day, no matter who is wearing his suits, the Black and Filipino designer wants his clients to feel sexy and confident — even godlike — regardless of their shape or size.

“I call my female customers sirens, and my male customers Adonises,” Wallace explained.
