According to a source described as a friend of the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry is no longer constrained by the “mentality” held by working members of the Royal Family.

Rather, the royal discovered in Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a person who is “supportive” of his convictions and ideas, which has “emboldened” him.

As a result, he appears to have abandoned his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s “never complain, never explain” mantra, speaking his opinion about the Firm, Britain, and his relationships with high-profile relatives.

Harry, who has been critical of the British press, has also gone on a “mission,” which another insider claimed could be ongoing.

“He’s free from the shackles of that mentality,” the friend said, referring to the prudence generally used by royals and the palace while speaking publicly.

“In Meghan, he has found someone supportive of that stance, and he is emboldened by that,” they continued.

“But the bigger picture is that he believes there are some very significant wrongs that need to be righted.”

Another source believes Prince Harry will continue to discuss the British press even after his legal proceedings against certain outlets are concluded.

“He sees his mission as being the standard bearer of a fair media, and I think we’ll see more of this in the coming years,” they said.

“He feels so strongly about it. He’ll always be a powerful advocate of fair and true reporting.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their intention to leave the Firm as full-time employees in January 2020.

While they sought a method to continue serving the Crown and supporting royal patronages while being financially independent and situated abroad, they were unable to reach an agreement with the Palace on what was later referred to as a “half-in, half-out” arrangement.

They officially left the Firm and their senior positions at the end of March 2020, agreeing not to use their HRH styles and subsequently renouncing their military and royal patronages.

Meghan and Harry founded Archewell in California, which comprises a non-profit foundation through which they carry out their charitable work.

Archewell also has two production powerhouses that the duo employs to create profitable audio and video content for streaming platforms.

Stepping down as working royals didn’t merely allow Meghan and Harry to be free of the Sovereign Grant and pursue their careers.

It also offered them more flexibility to openly discuss their problems with the Firm and the press.

The Duke and Duchess, on the other hand, have not severed all links with the Royal Family.

Prince Harry has stated in numerous interviews that he is looking forward to rekindling his friendship with his father, King Charles, and elder brother, Prince William.

Furthermore, Harry and Meghan have opted to style their children as Prince Archie Harrison and Princess Lilibet Diana, the royal titles they gained following Charles’ ascent to the throne.
