On June 3, less than a week after Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, 39, was sentenced to prison in Bryan, Texas for fraud-related offenses, her husband, Billy Evans, visited her.

Elizabeth was pictured wearing the prison’s khaki uniform, which featured brown boots, during their purported “seven-hour” visit. She was also observed wearing black eyeglasses and a name badge around her neck.

According to The Daily Mail, Billy was joined by his parents, Christian and Noel, when he stopped by. The foursome was seen sitting at a picnic table, with Elizabeth sitting cross-legged and conversing for some time.

Billy, whom Elizabeth married in 2019, dressed casually in a black t-shirt and black pants to pay a visit to his wife, who began serving her 11-year prison sentence on May 30.

Elizabeth was photographed enjoying time with her two children, Invicta, three months, and William, one, over Memorial Day weekend.

In November 2022, Elizabeth was convicted for fraud-related charges committed during her time at Theranos. According to CBS News, federal judge Edward Davila ordered the mother-of-two to pay $452 million in compensation to the victims of her previous company’s fraud.

Elizabeth will also be expected to serve “three years of supervision” once her sentence expires in 2034. Elizabeth was originally “ordered” to surrender to prison on April 27, 2023, but she was able to request a later date to get her personal affairs in order.

She stated that she needed to make “medical and child-care arrangements,” which were granted on May 17.

On Saturday, the Stanford dropout was seen walking about the prison by himself. Elizabeth elected to forego her khaki-colored jail uniform in favor of a brown t-shirt and beige trousers.

As she walked through the prison grounds, she wore a black watch on her left wrist and a name badge around her neck.

She is not the only person serving time for Theranos’ deception; Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, 57, her ex-boyfriend and business partner, began serving a 13-year jail sentence in April 2023.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, Sunny’s ex was found guilty of “frauding investors in Theranos, Inc. of hundreds of millions of dollars.”

Notably, her ex was also found guilty of fraud. She and he first spoke in 2002, when she was 18 years old. The now 57-year-old ultimately rose to the position of COO at Theranos and collaborated with Elizabeth in cheating the firm’s investors.
