Vanessa Hudgens was photographed in Los Angeles showing support for the ongoing SAF-AFTRA strike on Thursday.
She wore an all-white outfit comprised of a white SAG AFTRA t-shirt, a pair of white short shorts, and a pair of white platform sneakers.
To combat the hot Los Angeles weather, Hudgens added a large straw sun hat and accessorized with a heart pendant necklace, a gold cuff bracelet on one of her wrists, and a grey Prada crossbody bag.
Also at the protest was her friend and actor Oliver Trevena, as well as other strikers joining the picket line outside Warner Bros studios in Burbank.
Vanessa Hudgens could be seen putting a hand up in the air as she was checking her cell phone. She was also photographed making a call as she marched with fellow strikers.
Her large black picket sign read ‘SAG-AFTRA on STRIKE!’ in white and gold colored font. The actor also joined picketers photographed protesting outside Warner Bros. studios on July 18.
Hudgens sported the same look as that of July 14th except for the white short shorts. She wore a pair of white loose, wide-leg pants on the 14th.
On the same date, she was seen taking photos with several striking union actors, including Jessica Quilantan, Ana Vergara, Alexandra Shipp, and Rosario Dawson.
Alexandra Shipp co-starred with Hudgens in the 2021 Oscar-nominated film Tick, Tick… Boom! She posted a photo of herself with Hudgens and Dawson in a collage of pictures from the strike that day on Instagram.
Shipp also played Writer Barbie in the recently released Barbie movie. She noted that the Screen Actor’s Guild (‘SAG’) will, ‘not give up and will support all unions fighting for equality and equal play.
Hudgens and the entire actors went on strike on July 14. Before then the Writers Guild was also on strike which affected a lot of movies in production. Likewise this latest ongoing labor dispute in Hollywood.
This is the first strike by actors in America since 1980 and the first time that both actors and writers went on strike at the same time since 1960.
Since the SAG-AFTRA Strike started, Vanessa Hudgens and other actors have shown solidarity by issuing statements of support and/or joining picket lines in LA and New York City.
Besides Hudgens and her colleagues who took part in the picket lines in Los Angeles or New York City, others like Jason Sudeikis, Susan Sarandon, Mandy Moore, Logan Lerman, America Ferrera, and Josh Gad also joined in.
