Lizzo is facing a lawsuit by her former backup dancers for sexual harassment and creating a ‘hostile work environment.’ The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday at the L.A. Superior Court.

Former backup dancers of the star, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez alleged that they were sexually harassed and forced to do things that did not go well with them.

Also Lizzo was accused of weight-shaming dancers whoclaimed that they were goaded to touch a nude performer while at a strip club in Amsterdam.

Per the filing, Lizzo invited all her dancers to touch nude strippers inside a strip club. Likewise, she encouraged her dancers to catch dildos that came out of strippers’ vaginas and to eat bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.’

According to NBC News, the lawyer for the three dancers, Ron Zambrano, expressed, ‘The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly.’

He continued, ‘While privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are not only illegal but absolutely demoralizing.’

Apparently, the incident which happened in the Amsterdam club as stated in the lawsuit, says that Lizzo ‘turned her attention to Ms. Davis and began pressuring Ms. Davis to touch the breasts of one of the nude women.’

The backup dancer had refused but the chanting from the star and others goaded’ her to touch the nude woman and claimed the chanting ‘grew louder and more strident, demanding a visibly uncomfortable Ms. Davis to engage with the performer.’

Although, the dancer was not fired after the incident, but much more later. The dancer had recorded one of their rehearsal due to her eye condition from the time. Lizzo had fired her after dissing the entire dancing team to find out who did the recording.

For Noelle, the star had alleged that her backup dancers were drinking before the performance which she said was false. To teach them a lesson, Lizzo had apparently forced them to rehearse for 12 hours.

A few days later, the third backup dancer Crystal Williams lost her job. Noelle had complained to a manager about the decision to publicly fire Williams after the star had told the group she had ‘eyes and ears everywhere.’

Noelle then expressed how she felt disrespected and also threatened to resign, to which Lizzo said she was ‘lucky.’ When Rodriguez decided to quit, the star showed her two middle fingers and yelled a slur at her, per the lawsuit filing.

Apart from the singer, her dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, is also facing a number of accusations. Per the lawsuit, Quigley shared ‘lewd sexual fantasies,’ and publicly discussed the virginity of one of the ‘plaintiffs’ while berating those who had had pre-marital sex.
