Lizzo is in for fresh straits as six more people come forward with sexual harassment allegations. This is following the news that three of her former dancers sued her for a hostile work environment and harassment.
Just last week, former backup dancers Arianna David, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodgriguez accused the songstress of creating a hostile environment during rehearsal. They also claimed that she cajoled them into touching nude strippers.
Davis and Williams claimed Lizzo fired them while the third dancer Rodriguez says she resigned over the singer’s “stunning” actions. Particularly, the women stated that they were forced to attend a sex show in Amsterdam’s red-light district.
This was while the group was on tour in the Netherlands in February 2023. Although the star has not publicly commented on the lawsuit, the attorneys of the ex-dancers have confirmed that more people are coming forward with allegations.
Per the dancer’s attorney, six more people claim that Lizzo has also caused them certain pressures. Their testimonies are still being reviewed and vetted.
Attorney Zambrano said in a statement that the original three accusers “have bravely spoken out and shared their experiences, opening the door for others to feel empowered to do the same.”
Then added, there are also allegations of a “sexually charged environment” and failure to pay employees,” “Some of the claims we are reviewing may be actionable, but it is too soon to say.”
Following the suit, Lizzo faced serious backlash. She had lost several thousands of followers on Instagram. Even her 2023 Made In America music festival –was cancelled due to “due to severe circumstances outside of production control.”
TSZ US has reached out to Lizzo’s management for a state but they have not replied at the time of this report.
