Princess Kate Lauded As ‘Master Of Royal Protocol’ In A Sweet Video Clip With Anne

Fans have hailed Princess Kate as a “master of royal protocol” when a video showing her on a joint engagement with the Princess Royal, who celebrates her birthday yesterday, resurfaced.

Kate, then known as the Duchess of Cambridge, and Princess Anne paid their first combined royal visit to the Royal College of Midwives in April last year.

The Princess was commended for her “classy” behavior as footage from the event showed her allowing the Princess Royal to walk ahead of her following royal etiquette.

In the video, the couple is seen arriving at the site in London, and after they both exit the car, Kate stands still to allow Anne to stroll around the rear of the car and take her place ahead of the Duchess.

Francis Page Media posted the video on TikTok, where legions of followers commented in support of the royal ladies.

The video was captioned: “See how Kate happily hangs back to let Princess Anne come through first.

“It’s because she knows that without her husband [Prince William], she walks behind other senior royals. She is a master of royal protocol.”

Royal fans showered her with praise in the comments section, with one saying: “She’s just respectful and understands her role and responsibilities.”

“True respect and class all the way!” said another. Others suggested that the seamless movement of the two royals was an indication of “mutual respect” between the two.

During their visit, Kate wore a Self Portrait nude-colored fitting jacket and skirt, while Anne wore a teal coat with a matching scarf draped over her shoulder.

The mother of Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall was shown a demonstration of a new Intrapartum Foetal Surveillance gadget, which checks baby safety during labor and alerts medical staff to commence a delivery if the baby’s head becomes stuck in the woman’s pelvis.

The Princess Royal turned 73 yesterday (August 15), but in a video produced three years ago to mark her 70th birthday, she discussed how her experiences differed from those of younger royals like Kate.

“The pressure that is applied to the younger members of the family, it’s always worse,” she said in an August 2020 appearance in the documentary Anne: The Princess Royal at 70.

“That’s what the media is interested in. That’s hard sometimes to deal with. But there was no social media in my day, and it’s probably made it more difficult.”
