The mother-of-three, who is the V&A’s first patron and an avid photographer, will be shown around the museum by youngsters who helped design it.

Museum personnel collaborated closely with local pupils, parents, and teachers to reimagine display areas and contribute ideas for galleries as part of the major overhaul.

The institute, which is geared toward children aged 0 to 14, will be open to the public and will have three new galleries titled Play, Imagine, and Design.

Nearly 2,000 artifacts from the V&A’s collections are on exhibit in various regions, to inspire children’s creativity.

To begin, Kate will visit the Play Gallery, which is primarily oriented at toddlers and features many sensory displays. She wore a pink midi dress by London-based designer Beulah from her 2021 Wimbledon trip.

The Princess of Wales will learn about the gallery dedicated to the development of language, motor skills, and constructive play here.

The princess, who wore her hair in her usual bouncy blow-dry, will later visit the Arcade, which is aimed at teenagers and focuses on the history of video and board games.

Following that, Kate will visit the Design Gallery, which teaches children about how new items are made, before concluding in the Imagine Gallery.

The Princess of Wales was named the V&A’s first royal patron in March 2018, only months before giving birth to Prince Louis.

Because of her passion for ‘visual arts, photography, and design,’ the princess was judged ideal for the high-brow post.

Even though the London Museum bears Queen Victoria’s name, no monarch had previously served as an official sponsor of the institute.
