Prince Harry’s relationship with Prince William was “never the same” after he married Kate Middleton, a royal expert claimed.
Former Tatler editor-in-chief Tina Brown stated that the brothers began to drift apart following William and Kate’s wedding day in 2011. According to the source, William became more focused on his marriage and life with his new wife.
However, Harry once described Kate as “the sister I’ve never had and always wanted” when he shared a close relationship with both his sister-in-law and his brother.
Ms. Brown also stated in her book The Palace Papers that Harry and William’s relationship deteriorated even more after Princess Charlotte was born in 2015.
She wrote: “Though they were still ‘incredibly close, living next door to each other [at Kensington Palace], sharing the same office, and hanging out a lot”, Harry began to feel regretful over his once-close bond with his elder brother. She added: “[Harry] mourned his us-against-the-world bond with William.”
With Harry’s move to the United States, he was able to see his brother less and less, and rumors about their strained relationship started to circulate.
The news comes after Meghan stated that she did not want Archie to attend a school in the UK due to safety concerns.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, admitted she would “never be able to do school pickup” in the United Kingdom because she would be afraid for her and Archie’s safety.
