Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been subjected to unfounded rumors that they are splitting up, following a challenging few months for the Sussex brand.
While friends of the pair have informed TSZ Newz that the reports of their split are “not true” and “literally made up,” commentators have noticed that Meghan did not accompany Harry on his novel Spare promotional tour earlier this year.
Since then, the couple appears to be working on separate projects when their partnership with Spotify ended last month, with Harry reportedly traveling to Africa for his own Netflix initiative.
Some said that Meghan was concerned about some of the contents in Harry’s book, which revealed his strained relationships with many of his family members.
“Is this the way she would have approached things? Possibly not. But she will always back him and would never have got involved in promoting such a personal project.” A source told the Telegraph.
They went on to say, “This was about his own life, journey, and perspective.”
Since the couple moved to Montecito, California, to raise their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, the Duke has been separated from his family.
Harry did return to London for King Charles’ Coronation in May, but Meghan did not accompany him, which some have seen as a further hint of a divide between them.
However, it is more likely that she wished to remain with her children because Archie’s fourth birthday coincided with the Coronation on May 6.
Harry, also rushed back from the ceremony to be with his son on his special day, traveling back to California just hours after the service concluded at Westminster Abbey.
Others have suggested that the Sussexes have been under a lot of financial difficulties, which has put a strain on their marriage.
Despite signing a £15 million ($20 million) deal, Spotify and Archewell Audio, which is owned by the Susexes, declared in June that they will no longer be generating new content together.
The collaboration only resulted in one season, or 12 episodes, of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes, in which she interviewed celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Serena Williams, and Mariah Carey.
However, some claim that Netflix execs were unhappy with Harry and Meghan’s work ethic.
They are still bound by their Netflix contract, which is set to end in 2025.
