The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is reportedly not in talks to negotiate a deal with Dior, according to sources who say there is no truth to claim she will collaborate with the French design brand.

According to the Daily Telegraph’s royal correspondent, Victoria Ward, the Duchess is not in talks to sign such a contract.

“The Duchess of Sussex is not in talks to sign a deal with Dior, sources insist,” she tweeted.

“They say there is no truth to the claims that she will partner with the French fashion house.”

“They previously denied that a deal between Prince Harry and Dior was in the offing after he wore the label.”

It comes following rumors that Meghan was attempting to reinvent herself and was on the verge of signing a multi-million dollar deal with Dior.

According to MailOnline, a famous Beverly Hills socialite said Meghan is “all anyone is talking about,” and there had been rumors “for weeks” that the Duchess was going to ink a deal with Dior, “which has put the gossip mill into overdrive.”

“If she pulls that off, then no one will remember that her silly little podcast got canceled after one season,” the person claimed.

Archewell Audio, Meghan and Harry’s production firm created one podcast series for the streaming service Spotify after negotiating a deal in late 2020 valued at approximately £19.5 million.

The termination of the partnership sparked doubts about the popularity of Meghan’s podcast and whether the agreement was a good bargain for Spotify, which announced job cuts earlier this month.

The Duke of Sussex wore a Dior suit designed by Kim Jones to King Charles III’s Coronation last month. During the Platinum Jubilee celebrations last summer, Meghan wore Dior to the National Service of Thanksgiving.

Before the Sussexes stepped down as senior working royals in March 2020, she wore Dior to Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral, her son Prince Archie’s baptism, and several other royal ceremonies.

The Spotify arrangement, along with a larger tie-up with Netflix reported to be worth more than £100 million, appeared to confirm Harry and Meghan’s decision to go to California for personal and financial freedom.

However, to sustain their lifestyle, which includes paying for security, they must create a big revenue, which has historically been difficult for monarchs.

According to public relations specialist Mark Borkowsk, the duo has “great power in fashion” and is “wanted by fashion houses.”

“They are more comfortable in this world… It does seem to be a series of weird coincidences: Harry wears a Dior suit at the Coronation and Dior at the hacking case and now a deal may be in the offing.” He stated.

Meghan hosted the Archetypes podcast for 12 episodes beginning in August 2022, interviewing celebrities, historians, and specialists about the history of stereotypes directed toward women.

Guests included Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Paris Hilton, Mindy Kaling, and Constance Wu.

According to a joint statement from Archewell and Spotify, “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together.”

According to a spokeswoman for Archewell Productions, “Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.”

Mr. Borkowski proposed that the Sussexes should learn from their “setback” and hire a “top team” to assist with content creation.

He suggested that the pair assess whether their messaging is appropriate for their audience and whether their fans are “not looking for great pronouncements on civil society… perhaps what they want from Meghan is a lifestyle brand.”

While Harry’s controversial memoir Spare was harshly critical of the Royal Family, his content may be more focused on a royal “soap opera.”
