Meghan Markle may pursue a solo career after apparently receiving “offers” from a range of firms, according to a royal expert.
The Duchess of Sussex has collaborated on a variety of projects with her husband Prince Harry since the couple stood down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020, but that could be about to change.
Meghan has reportedly recruited a new agent to assist her in making professional contacts, with an analyst stating she intends to pursue a “diverse” career route than Harry.
Since migrating to the United States, the couple has collaborated on a variety of projects. Their interview with Oprah Winfrey happened just months after the couple relocated, and their Netflix docu-series is the couple’s most recent project.
But now that their arrangement with Spotify has been canceled, royal analyst Daniela Elsa believes Meghan will be working on her own from now on.
“With their podcast deal with Spotify having gone the way of the Dodo and Princess Margaret, it appears the duchess has traded their Sussex double act for her one-woman show,” she added.
“Meghan – and only Meghan – has a new super agent, and reportedly offers have been pouring in’ for Meghan – and only Meghan,” she explained.
Harry is presently working on his Netflix documentary Heart of Invictus, which means he has limited time to engage with his wife, while her advisors have suggested she “plot her next chapter.”
“It looks a lot like, for the first time, the couple is truly on divergent professional paths.” The expert continued.
Daniela’s remarks come after Netflix was forced to address rumors that it may be parting ties with the Sussexes.
According to a source, the streaming company wanted Harry and Meghan to come up with “more great ideas” if they wanted to keep the £40 million in outstanding fees.
Netflix, on the other hand, has dismissed the rumors and affirmed that they have a close relationship with Meghan and Harry.
“The bond with Archewell Productions is one we deeply value. Harry & Meghan launched as Netflix’s most spectacular documentary debut to date,” a Netflix spokesperson said.
“Our exciting journey with them isn’t ending anytime soon,” they told Entertainment Tonight.
“We’re currently collaborating on numerous projects, including the much-anticipated documentary series Heart of Invictus.”
