Meghan Markle ‘Petrified’ Her Ex-Husband Trevor Engelson Will Write ‘Explosive Book’

According to reports, Meghan Markle is “petrified” that Trevor Engleson, her ex-husband, may write a book about their marriage.

When the pair, who were married from 2011 to 2013, divorced, they cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. Up until this point, the owner of a film management and production firm has been silent regarding his ex-wife and has declined to comment on her union with Prince Harry or their separation from the Royal Family.

But that could soon change, according to royal author Neil Sean, who wrote The A to Z of Harry and Meghan, who claims Trevor has received multiple offers to spill the beans about what Meghan is actually like in private.

Trevor has “first-hand experience of what it was like to be married the first time around,” he continued, adding that Meghan is “petrified.”

Her dreams of relaunching her career may be dashed if he decides to write a book or even give an interview about his failed marriage to Meghan.

Neil, who has met Trevor, said: “Many agents have offered him big deals and big money when Meghan was at the height of her fame. I would think that he will take stock and look at all options.

“Meghan is bound to be petrified. He would truly have a remarkable story because, after all, he would have first-hand experience of what it was like to be married the first time around to the actress.

“I have met him briefly and he strikes me as a nice, caring man who clearly has moved on. However, there is no escape from his story.”

Before getting married in 2011 on a beach in Jamaica, Meghan and Trevor were together for seven years after meeting in 2004.

After getting married a little over two years, Meghan filed for a no-fault divorce. She is even believed to have sent her wedding and engagement rings back to her ex-husband.

In his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry, And The War Between The Windsors, royal biographer Tom Bower has previously provided some insight on how Trevor felt about Meghan’s choice to spend so much time in Toronto.

He wrote: “To the producers’ bemusement, Meghan was keen to set up her permanent home in Toronto rather than commute like all the other actors from Los Angeles.”

Neil thinks Trevor could describe in detail how “ruthless and ambitious” Meghan was in a book he writes.

He said: “His story would be the inside track on how ruthless, ambitious and determined she was.

“If he talks about how he was dumped and why, then it could be explosive. Meghan is not known for keeping any friends from her past and Trevor’s story so far is a huge mystery.”

Trevor has also remarried, just like Meghan. A year after Meghan wedded Harry, he wed nutritionist and heiress Tracey Kurland in May 2019.

Meghan’s reputation may take a severe hit if Trevor decides to publicly discuss his failed marriage with her.

She is said to be relaunching her lifestyle blog, The Tig, as well as launching a new Instagram account.
