People are losing interest in what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to say, and they may no longer be “hot trends” among media executives and the general public.

Russell Myers, royal editor of The Mirror, told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat that concerns about the Sussexes’ “star power” are starting to emerge, as the initial buzz surrounding their departure from the Royal Family fades.

He said: “The issue for Meghan and Harry is, are people interested in what they have to say?

“That’s not just the general public, that’s the executives working for these big media firms as well… Are they the hot trends anymore?”

The multi-million-pound partnership between Spotify and Archewell Audio, owned by the Duke and Duchess, was terminated last month after only one series of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes.

“I have heard for a while rumblings of discontent at Netflix over content,” Katie Nicholl, royal editor at Vanity Fair, told the program.

“[Harry and Meghan] have churned out a narrative that I think has become quite tiresome for most people now, and there has been for some time an expectation of when we will hear and see content that isn’t related to the fallout of the Royal Family and isn’t related to his past, and seeing something new. As of yet, we haven’t.”

The duo is still under contract with Netflix, and their new documentary Heart of Invictus is set to debut on the platform in August.

According to a public relations specialist, even if the Duchess appears to be struggling in Hollywood, she may have a surprise in store for us all.

Meghan secured a new contract with prominent entertainment agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) in April, the same agency that represents her friend and podcast guest Serena Williams.

According to Kieran Elsby, the director of Media PR Global, signing Meghan will be a “major coup,” adding, “It is good business to have her on their roster.” It is also good for Meghan having a prestige agency.”

He went further to explain: “However, it’s been three months since the news broke and we’ve heard nothing since.

“This is a longer period than is typically expected for a new client to secure deals, which suggests that Meghan may be struggling to find her footing in Hollywood.

“It’s possible that Meghan is still in the early stages of developing her projects and doesn’t want to announce anything until she’s sure they’re ready.

“It’s also possible that she’s been rejected from potential partnership deals, which could be demoralizing and make her reluctant to share her plans with the public.”

Nobody really knows until Meghan speaks out directly.
