King Charles’s Devastating Four-Word Response When Questioned About Prince Harry

When questioned about “bringing back” Prince Harry, King Charles III provided a heartbreaking four-word response that left millions of people wondering if their bitter split can ever be reconciled.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, left the UK in what became known as the “Megxit” and stepped down as senior working royals in early 2020.

However, since then, the father-son relationship has suffered as a result of several allegations made against the Royal Family in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries and the prince’s own candid memoir, Spare.

King Charles, when questioned about Harry earlier this year, shockingly gave a four-word response. However, Buckingham Palace has not made any public statements on the situation.

The monarch dedicated a plaque to mark the opening of the University of East London’s new hospital and primary care training hub in February while paying a milestone 125th-anniversary visit to the university’s Stratford campus.

The King welcomed the students and other well-wishers who had gathered to see the monarch for the first time in their lives in the customary manner.

A man yelled, “Bring back Harry please, can you please bring him back please, Sir?” as the monarch shook hands with a single individual.

When the well-wisher asked him a question, the King asked him, “Who?” as though he had initially missed it.

Harry, your son, he said again, and Charles, in a sorrowful response, said, “It would be nice,” before hurriedly leaving.

Millions of people worldwide wonder whether the irreparable gap between the once-close royal father and son would ever be repaired.

In a recent episode of The Daily Express’ Royal Round Up, writer Richard Palmer stated that King Charles would still be eager to extend an olive branch despite the shocking allegations in Spare and their continued estrangement.

The specialist on royal matters said, “I’m sure the King would welcome them back.”

“I mean, he’s quite keen to heal that family rift. But, it’s obviously very raw at the moment and it’s very noticeable.

“While I’d say he’s keen to heal that rift, he hasn’t met his son the last two times he’s been over to the UK.”

Since the publication of his shocking memoir Spare in January, Harry has only once been in the same room as his father and the other members of the Royal Family.

This happened when he traveled to London’s Westminster Abbey from his home in California to attend his father King Charles III’s coronation.

Meghan Markle did not accompany him on the trip; Buckingham Palace had earlier stated to say that she would stay with the couple’s two small children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at their Montecito home.

While the Duke of Sussex is believed to have taken a direct flight back to California following the main ceremony so that he could be with Archie on his fourth birthday, it is unclear whether Harry actually had the chance to meet his father during his brief visit to the UK.

Harry hadn’t traveled with his family since September 2021, when he was in the UK for the passing of his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, which brought the royal family back together for the 96-year-old monarch’s funeral.
