The news comes as the stage performance, which stars a cross-dressing bisexual from another planet, marks its 50th year.

Patricia Quinn, who played Magenta on stage in 1973 and the 1975 film adaptation, recently discussed her royal encounter.

Quinn, whose lips appear in the iconic opening scene of the Rocky Horror Picture production film, claimed Charles turned down her invitation to see the production.

“I invited him to see the show, but he said he couldn’t really go because of the fishnets and suspenders,” she said.

“I suggested he come as Brad, the nerd who wears a doctor’s coat and Y-fronts. I don’t think he was impressed.”

Quinn earlier stated that the King’s late aunt, Princess Margaret, and Mick Jagger were among those “queuing down the street” to attend the show when it first debuted in 1973.
