Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expected to receive an Emmy nomination for their “groundbreaking” Netflix documentary series.
After standing down as senior working members of the Royal Family, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex struck a multi-year deal with the streaming giant worth reportedly £40 million.

Their show, Harry and Meghan, has been nominated for an Emmy in the ‘Documentary or Nonfiction Series category.
In the six-part documentary series, the couple made several charges against members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and King Charles.
“I have never been to the Emmys but how it works is the panel will be extremely familiar with every possible nominee,” Mark Boardman, a showbiz writer and media analyst and Entertainment Editor of MarkMeets, told Daily Express US.
“There is no smoke without fire and to me, I feel there is a good chance that there’s a win and a definite chance they will be nominated because it will give the Emmy Awards a lot of press attention on that.”

“Based on viewing figures alone, it has to be nominated for being groundbreaking TV. It was so open and honest and this will be of great standing for Netflix.
“There is a lot standing on Netflix’s investment if it doesn’t win but the award would carry huge status for them.”
“There is definitely every chance there is a win for Harry, Meghan, and Netflix and I am 100 percent confident it will get nominated.” He added.
“I have looked at all of the possible categories and it is the most high-profile documentary series within that category.
“So it has to be there, even though the nominations have not yet officially been revealed. It just adds to Harry and Meghan’s enduring appeal.”
If Harry and Meghan do win an Emmy, they might earn hundreds of millions of dollars through an exclusive arrangement with Netflix, according to Boardman.

He feels that to do so, the pair must begin filming “real-life documentaries meeting people,” following in the footsteps of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
According to the media and entertainment expert, this would “give Netflix a year’s worth of content” and make them too profitable for the streaming giant to give up anytime soon.
