According to insiders, Prince Andrew’s return to the Royal Family does not imply that he will resume public activities.
The Duke of York appears to want to remain close to the Royal Family and is rumored to desire to resume his prior public obligations.

The 63-year-old was pictured being taken to church with Prince William and Princess Kate on the Balmoral estate on Sunday, another small proof that he is still “much-loved” by his family.
There are also rumors that the Duke has enlisted the help of high-profile persons to lobby for his reinstatement.
However, other sources have stated that, while the family enjoys having him around, they are opposed to any alterations to his public role.
“The King is absolutely resolute that there can be no return to public duties for the Duke of York,” according to a source.

“He has always been clear that the Duke is a much-loved member of the family, but that does not mean there will be a change in tack when it comes to his royal status.”
Interfering with decisions about Prince Andrew’s affairs is regarded to be extremely tough.
Former Home Secretary Priti Patel was publicly humiliated after sending an email to Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s private secretary, requesting a review of Andrew’s security measures.
The email was leaked less than a week after it was received, leading Ms. Patel to apologize to the King for the “embarrassment and difficulties it had caused”.
Some have seen this as a warning to anyone who attempts to interfere with the decision-making process that they will be humiliated.
The King and Prince Andrew are said to have met several times in the last year to devise a strategy to give the Duke a purpose.
Andrew allegedly volunteered to oversee one or more of the royal states.
However, both parties agreed that whatever happens with Andrew’s place in the family should not be played out in public.

Any new employment or attempts to shake up his royal life would be kept under wraps since King Charles apparently knows the type of hostility that would result from publicly encouraging the Duke of York’s comeback.
Despite attempts to move him to the much smaller Frogmore Cottage, Andrew stays in Royal Lodge, where he shares with his ex-wife, the Duchess of York.
