In the new year, Hollywood is in mourning over the deaths of celebrities such as NFL legend Dan Reeves and Oscar-nominated “Last Picture Show” director Peter Bogdanovich.

Peter Bogdanovich
July 30, 1939-Jan. 6, 2022

Peter Bogdanovich, the filmmaker, and historian died on January 6 at the age of 82 from natural causes.
Bogdanovich is best known for directing the 1971 drama “The Last Picture Show,” which received eight Academy Award nominations. Among his other credits are 1973’s “Paper Moon,” 1981’s “They All Laughed,” and 1985’s “Mask.”

Bogdanovich was also an actor, appearing in “The Sopranos” and “The Other Side of the Wind” in 2018.
Kim Mi-soo
March 16, 1992-Jan. 5, 2022

Kim Mi-soo, a South Korean actress, died on January 5 at the age of 29. The cause was not revealed right away.
Mi-soo was well-known for her role in the JTBC drama “Snowdrop.” Before her death, she had also begun filming the Disney+ show “Sixth Sense Kiss.”
Joan Copeland
June 1, 1922-Jan. 4, 2022

Joan Copeland, a Broadway star, died on January 4 at the age of 99.
The younger sister of playwright Arthur Miller made a name for herself with roles in the 1976 revival of “Pal Joey” her brother’s 1981 play “The American Clock.” Copeland also starred in soap operas including “Search for Tomorrow” and “One Life to Live.”
Jay Weaver

Big Daddy Weave bassist Jay Weaver died at age 42 on Jan. 2 of COVID-19 complications.
Max Julien
July 12, 1933-Jan. 1, 2022

On January 1, actor Max Julien died at the age of 88.
Julien was best known for playing Goldie in the 1973 film “The Mack.” He also appeared in “Getting Straight” in 1970 and “Def Jam’s How to Be a Player” in 1997, and he wrote “Cleopatra Jones” in 1973.
Dan Reeves
Jan. 19, 1944-Jan. 1, 2022

Dan Reeves, 77, died of dementia complications on January 1st.
From 1965 to 1972, Reeves was a running back for the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in nine Super Bowls, winning one against the Miami Dolphins in 1972. Before retiring in 2003, Reeves coached teams such as the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, and New York Giants.
