T.J. Holmes has filed for divorce from his second wife, Marilee Fiebig, amid allegations of infidelity with his “Good Morning America 3” co-host, Amy Robach.
TSZ can confirm that Holmes, 45, filed the paperwork in New York City on Wednesday after nearly 13 years of marriage.
Holmes and Fiebig, both 45, married in March 2010 and welcomed their daughter Sabine in January 2013. According to a source, Fiebig, an immigration lawyer, was taken aback by her husband’s alleged affair with his on-air colleague.
Our source said the two had been separated for several months but that they were trying to “work things out” when news of the alleged workplace romance broke in late November.
“She’s devastated. She had no idea,” our informant said, adding that the two “were just together for T.J.’s birthday [on Aug. 19].”
More information about Holmes’ alleged relationships with at least two other employees at the company, including married producer Natasha Singh, has emerged as part of ABC’s investigation into the nature of Holmes and Robach’s relationship.
In March 2020, Holmes paid a cringe-worthy 10-year anniversary tribute to Fiebig, admitting that he had given her “plenty of reasons” to leave him throughout their marriage.
“10 years ago, Marilee Fiebig married me,” the former CNN anchor captioned throwback wedding photos at the time. “And despite my best efforts, she remained married to me the past 10 years.”
“That’s not hyperbole. I’m not being dramatic,” he continued. “I gave her plenty of reasons, excuses, and opportunities to walk her fine ass out the doooooooor.”
He went on to praise the attorney’s “built-in black woman superpower” in showing him “grace and patience that’s incomprehensible.”
Holmes added that “asking her for another 10 years would be asking too much,” calling 10 months “a stretch” and 10 weeks “lucky.”
He also referred to himself as Fiebig’s “decade challenge,” concluding, “If she puts up with me another 10 days, I’d be grateful.”
Holmes and Robach’s friendship allegedly turned romantic after they began training together for the NYC Half Marathon in March.
Robach, 49, was married to Andrew Shue at the time, but their divorce is almost complete, and a friend previously told us that the “Melrose Place” alum “moved out earlier this summer.”
Despite the fact that their professional careers are in jeopardy while ABC conducts its investigation, the co-anchors have been seen out together a few times, including at the airport the day after Christmas.
