Rebel Wilson, who has been vocal about her weight loss over the years, believes that people don’t require as many calories as they think.

“I was just in a program where I learned about food, and they taught us that you don’t really need as many calories as you think,” the “Pitch Perfect” star told the Daily Mail Thursday at a Fluid dating app launch party held by Casamigos at Funke in Beverly Hills, Calif.

While the actress admits the approach “might sound crazy” to some, she feels “your body doesn’t need a lot of calories,” particularly when detoxing.

“Everyone thinks that you need to eat so much,” she said. But if you eat right and you eat small portions, you’ll be just fine.

Although it is unknown whether the comedian followed the low-calorie eating plan while on the retreat, she did inform the outlet that the advice is “not intended for a daily routine.”

“The problem is that people are stuck at a desk or in their car, and they tend to get hungry,” she explained. “They want to eat because that’s how they deal with stress or because it’s a habit.”

The “Senior Year” actor, who has dropped more than 70 pounds in recent years, went on to say that she had gained weight since welcoming the birth of her daughter Royce via surrogate in November 2022.

“Now I can’t go to the gym as often as I used to; I’m just not working out as much, so that has slowed me down,” the new mother explained, blaming her “lack of sleep” and “change of lifestyle.”

While Wilson’s fiancée, Ramona Agruma, gained weight after giving birth, the “Isn’t It Romantic” star has been “jealous” of her partner’s growth.

After an Australian publication threatened to expose the “Wedge” star, the couple made their relationship public on Instagram in June 2022.

After less than a year of dating, the couple got engaged at Disneyland, but Wilson told Page Six on Thursday that they have yet to start wedding planning.

“It’s really hard,” she confessed. “It’s been interesting to talk about it, but we don’t have any plans yet.”
