Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian Required ‘Urgent Fetal Surgery’ To Save Baby Boy’s Life

Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian announced on Wednesday that she required “urgent fetal surgery” to save the life of her unborn baby boy.

Speaking out for the first time about her hospitalization last week, the “Kardashians” star said on Instagram that she “wasn’t prepared” for the health crisis after three “really easy” pregnancies.

“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” Kardashian captioned an emotional black-and-white photo of her husband, Travis Barker, holding her hand.

“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.”

The 44-year-old mother of three described being paralyzed with “fear” as she was rushed into the surgery that would save their baby’s life.

“I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear,” the reality star continued. “I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.”

The founder of Lemme closed her statement by thanking God for their sustained good health and letting her walk “out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy.”

Barker made a similar post on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, adding that he “flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery” that “went well.”

“I want to say thank you for all the support. “Tour resumes Friday,” he said at the end of his message.

Barker and his band were forced to cancel their European tour last week because he needed to return to Los Angeles for an “urgent family matter.”

Previously, the famous artist uploaded photographs from an airport prayer room before boarding his aircraft to Los Angeles.

Only a few days later, Kardashian and Barker were pictured leaving the hospital, the former clearly pregnant.

According to a source, she spent a “brief” time in the hospital before returning home feeling better.

“She is happy to have Travis back home, too,” the insider shared.

Kardashian revealed to Blink-182 fans in June that she and Barker, 47, were expecting their first child together.

With ex Scott Disick, she has two sons, Mason and Reign, as well as a daughter, Penelope.

Barker and ex-wife Shanna Moakler have a son, Landon, and a daughter, Alabama. He’s also the stepfather to Moakler’s daughter Atiana, whom she had with her ex Oscar de la Hoya.
