The Queen of rap, Nicki Minaj has taken to social media to give us a hint about her new album release.
The Trinidadian rapper is ready for her first album in nearly five years. Minaj will finally give her Barbz what they’ve been waiting for a long time.

“10/20/23 The Album,” she announced in a well-received tweet with over 100,000 likes.
Minaj’s fifth studio album will be released five years after Queen, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Her other studio albums, Pink Friday (2010), Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (2012), and The Pinkprint (2014), all charted in the top five of all-genre albums, with Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded reaching No. 1.
Her upcoming, untitled album could be her first proper release through her own record label, Heavy On It, which she announced earlier this year on her Queen Radio show.
Nicki Minaj’s contribution to Sexyy Redd and Tay Keith’s “Pound Town 2,” which debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the week ending June 10, marked her 130th all-genre song entry.
When her “Princess Diana” remix with Ice Spice debuted at No. 4 in April, it became Minaj’s 22nd top 10 hit on the chart. This year, she also worked on “WTF” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and “Alone” with Kim Petras.

“Red Ruby Da Sleeze” is her only solo release in 2023, and it peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In a recent Twitter conversation with her Barbz, the rapper declared that the NM5 will be the “best thing that comes out of 2023” and will be hailed as “genius.”
She also chastised those same Barbz over the weekend for allegedly making her Twitter experience a little more X-rated than she was looking for.
On Sunday (June 4), she tweeted, “Barbz, why is there yet another penis on my TL?” “I’m fortunate to be in a good mood. You already know that’s an automatic flag on the play and an immediate unfollow. You have 5 minutes if you want to be quick in the pants.”
She’ll also appear on the upcoming star-studded soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which hits theatres on July 21.
