Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, claims she did not understand their prenuptial agreement when he signed it in 2004.

TSZ reports that the “Yellowstone” star’s lawyers have submitted a new court filing in which they inquire if the handbag designer understands what she signed.

“Christine asserts she cannot admit or deny that she understood the Premarital Agreement because she (and apparently all of her attorneys) do not understand the word ‘understand,’” the court documents read.

“Christine’s counsel asked for a definition of ‘understood,’ and Kevin’s counsel provided the dictionary meaning of the word ‘understood,’ to wit, ‘comprehended or perceive the intended meaning of words,'” Costner’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, stated in the petition.

The lawyer wants the judge to question Baumgartner’s legal team about whether or not their client comprehended the signed contract.

Baumgartner’s lawyer objected to Wasser’s statement that her client’s estranged wife “understood the legal effect of the premarital agreement before you signed the premarital agreement.”

According to Baumgartner’s counsel, the “request is vague as to the scope and meaning of the terms ‘understood,'” and she is “unable to admit or deny the request.”

If the former model contests the prenup reports claim that she has to return the $1.5 million Costner handed her as well as pay his legal bills.

The former couple has been embroiled in a heated legal battle since Baumgartner, 49, filed for divorce in May.

In July, a judge ordered the “Bodyguard” star, 68, to pay his estranged wife $129,755 per month in child support for their three children, despite her request for $248,000 per month.

In addition, he was ordered to pay $200,000 in legal fees and $100,000 in forensic charges.

The judge also ordered that the ex-couple had to follow through on their prenuptial agreement, which obliged Baumgartner to leave their shared family home.

TSZ Newz received photographs of U-Haul trucks leaving Costner’s Santa Barbara, California, house last month.

Later, it was discovered that she was moving to a “smaller home” on the “Hidden Figures” actor’s property ahead of her July 31 move-out deadline.

According to a source, the move was “a temporary solution” and Baumgartner was “still looking for another house.”

”She is staying in the area to not disrupt the kids’ lives,” the insider said. “They will be back at school in the fall with their friends.”

Baumgartner wasn’t discouraged by the incident, as she was recently spotted running errands in Santa Barbara while carrying a $4,800 ombré Prada purse on her arm.
