Kevin Costner Speaks Out About ‘Horrible’ Divorce With Christine Baumgartner Amid Child Support Win

For the first time, Kevin Costner discusses his divorce from Christine Baumgartner.

“This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at,” the “Yellowstone” alum said on Friday after winning child support.

“It feels so bad,” the 68-year-old actor remarked outside the courthouse. “We’re talking about somebody I love on the other side. I just can’t.”

When asked if he “still has love” for his estranged wife, Costner said, “Of course.”

Despite cracking a joke on the stand, the Oscar winner admitted that he “wasn’t… laughing” about their divorce procedures.

Baumgartner’s counsel had accused Costner of earning more money than he had previously reported, prompting him to joke, “We’ll have to have a treasure hunt to find it.”

While the Golden Globe winner has spoken about his and Baumgartner’s acrimonious divorce on the stand and in court records, his remarks on Friday were his first direct quotes regarding the split since Baumgartner filed for divorce in May.

The former couple has since been embroiled in a slew of allegations, with Costner even claiming that his ex is seeing his close friend Josh Connor, with whom she vacationed in July.

Baumgartner was accused by Costner of accepting $20,000 in cash from the financier.

The model, for her part, claimed through her lawyer that Costner was “withholding” financial proof, which he later refuted on the stand.

She requested that her ex pay $175,057 in monthly installments for their three children — Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 — earlier this week, which she then reduced to $161,592.

Notably, Baumgartner stated at the time that luxury is in the youngsters’ “DNA at this point.”

However, Costner was ordered to pay only $63,209 per month in child support on Friday.

Baumgartner, who requested $248,000 a month in June, has yet to comment on the Emmy winner’s court victory.

After five years of dating, she married Costner in September 2004. She signed a prenuptial agreement at the time, which compelled her to leave their family home after the divorce.

While Costner claimed in June that Baumgartner refused to leave, a judge upheld the prenuptial agreement and ordered her to leave the following month.

TSZ Newz received images of U-Haul trucks transporting Baumgartner to a “smaller home” on their Santa Barbara, Calif., property during the time.

“She is staying in the area to not disrupt the kids’ lives,” a source said of the “temporary solution,” claiming Baumgartner was “still looking” for a new house.
