Kevin Costner is spending time with his three children after being forced to pay $129K a month in child support after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner.

According to court documents, the “Yellowstone” actor stated that he would be unable to appear in court on Wednesday owing to a “pre-planned” trip to British Columbia, Canada, with his children Grace, 13, Hayes, 14, and Cayden, 16.

In the documents, Costner’s legal team stated that “the children are teenagers and may come and go between his home and Christine’s home once she finds a new residence.”

His court appearance was intended to be another step toward finalizing his divorce from Baumgartner, who filed for divorce in May citing “irreconcilable differences.” They’d been together for 18 years.

Things became tense between the two after the handbag designer refused to leave their family home, which she was required to do within 30 days of filing for divorce under their prenup.

She also demanded that Costner, 68, pay $248,000 in child support each month. According to court documents obtained on Tuesday, a judge ordered him to pay $129,755 every month.

That was still twice what Costner had suggested. He had earlier claimed that his estranged wife only need $51,940 per month for their three children before accusing her of demanding more money for her own personal costs such as shopping and cosmetic procedures.

In addition to child support, the judge ordered the “Bodyguard” star to pay $100,000 in forensic charges and $200,000 in legal fees.

Furthermore, the former couple was ordered to split half of their children’s expenses, such as health care, sports, and extracurricular activities.

Baumgartner, on the other hand, would be entitled to $30,000 per month in rent and an additional $10,000 for moving fees under their prenup.

The judge also opted to implement their prenuptial agreement, ordering Baumgartner to leave by the end of the month.

According to a source close to Baumgartner, their tumultuous divorce is the result of Costner’s desire to “humiliate” his former wife.

“This isn’t about the house, it’s about making Christine’s life a living hell for actually going through with the divorce,” the insider claimed. “It was Christine who wanted to make this transition as peaceful as possible for the sake of the children. Kevin has done the complete opposite.”
