Keanu Reeves and Sofia Coppola reunited for the 100th anniversary of the whisky brand The House of Suntory, over 30 years after they dated.
The John Wick star has no problem working with an ex for a great cause. He worked with his ex Sofia Coppola, on a new House of Suntory advertisement, and the two were present at the whisky company’s 100th anniversary celebration on June 1 in London.

At the occasion, Keanu and Sofia, who met through Sofia’s father Francis Ford Coppola, and had a brief relationship in the early 1990s, posed for pictures together.
Sofia wore a cream-colored top with a pair of black jeans, while Keanu wore a classic black suit and brown boots. On May 23, the ex-couples went to New York City for the House of Suntory’s anniversary celebration.
Keanu said he had no reservations about working with his ex-girlfriend in an interview he gave before the London party when discussing the Suntory Time tribute movie.
“It was cool to have the opportunity to work with Sofia Coppola and her brother Roman Coppola on a docuseries and then a sort of short commercial”, he said. “it was a really special opportunity.”
Keanu added that it was “really wonderful” to shoot the advertisement in Japan, the same country where Sofia filmed her Oscar-winning film Lost in Translation.
The chance to spend time with Suntory employees, visit the company’s founding distillery Yamazaki, and then simply meet the master blenders and other artisans was extraordinary, according to Keanu.

Keanu and Sofia had a short but sweet relationship, over 30 years ago. The ex-couple met when Keanu appeared in her father’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula film. They briefly dated, before breaking up the following year.
Sofia later married a fellow director Spike Jonze. After their divorce, she later married Thomas Mars, the Phoenix lead singer, and they have two daughters together, Romy 16, and Cosima, 13.
Since his split from Sofia, Keanu has dated several women. He dated Jennifer Syme but broke up after their daughter Ava Reeves tragically died at eight months old.
Unexpectedly, Jennifer passed away in April 2001 at the age of 28 after losing control of her vehicle. Alexandra Grant, a 50-year-old artist, and Keanu have been dating since 2019.
