Joe Jonas Was Allegedly ‘Less Than Supportive’ When Sophie Turner Struggled After Giving Birth

According to recent reports, Joe Jonas was “less than supportive” of his now-estranged wife, Sophie Turner, when she was struggling after giving birth to their second child last year.

Sources claimed that the Jonas Brothers member allegedly put pressure on the “Game of Thrones” actor to attend industry events and come out of the house more, despite her desire not to be photographed.

Despite her preference to stay at home with their two girls, Turner put on a brave front and attended several functions with her husband; nonetheless, insiders informed us that Turner “made it clear she was uncomfortable” and “didn’t want to be there.”

At a different function, which Turner did not attend, the “Hesitate” singer apparently remarked that his wife needed to get out more, leading many around him to assume that their marriage was in trouble.

The estranged couple’s representatives did not immediately respond to TSZ Newz’s attempts for comment.

After four years of marriage, Jonas, 34, filed for divorce from the “Do Revenge” actress, 27, on Tuesday, alleging in court filings that their union was “irretrievably broken.”

In a joint statement, the musician and actress termed their split a “united decision.”

“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” they wrote in a post to Instagram.

“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Following their unexpected divorce announcement, a source close to the family told TSZ Newz that Jonas’ divorce was a “last resort” for him.

“He never wanted to break up his family, but he had to take what he felt was the best course of action for his girls,” the insider said.

“An unhappy home isn’t a home, and the truth is that he and Sophie were going through it this year. There’s a lot of noise out there, but it wasn’t a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back situation like it’s being reported.”

A source also told us that Turner’s passion for partying contributed to their breakup, yet Jonas had previously stated that she was more of a homebody than he was.
