Hailey Bieber is not having it for fans who post nasty comments about Selena Gomez on her behalf.

It’s one thing to speak up for someone you support, but it’s important you’re speaking what they believe or would like to hear. This is where the unpleasant disconnect occurs on both sides. And it all originates from Selena’s turbulent relationship with Justin Bieber.

Some fans have refused to get over the fact that Justin Bieber ended up marrying Hailey four years ago. Selenators have attacked Beliebers, and vice versa, with Hailey taking major hits since she started dating Justin.

Inevitably, a backlash started, with Hailey’s supporters leaping to her defense with an unhealthy offensive attack on Selena. Meanwhile, both women continue to follow each other, like one other’s postings and have even taken selfies together to try to convince everyone that they’re fine and should just get over the drama.

Unfortunately, the subtle approach doesn’t always work, so Hailey took a much more direct approach – even if she didn’t name names – as a new wave of abusive comments flooded Selena’s latest Instagram photo from the weekend.

Even though Hailey liked the post which shows there is no beef, her so-called supporters slammed the “Lose You to Love Me” singer, labeling Selena “jealous” and even alleging she’s “copying” Hailey’s style. Those are actually the nicest remarks.

It exploded into a full-fledged fan battle in the comments area, with Selena’s admirers being as nasty as she was getting, all of which has nothing to do with Selena’s post or anything going on in either women’s lives.

The fans are fixated at this point, and Hailey is sick of them not getting over it!

“If you’re leaving mean or rude comments on my behalf on anyone’s posts just know that I don’t want that, nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments,” she posted on her Instagram Story Monday night.

“Doing that is not supporting me,” she went on. “If you are participating in that you are a part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything.”

This immediately resulted in a barrage of negative comments on Hailey’s posts, but at least both ladies are attempting to remain above the fray.

Hailey and Selena attempted to appease their followers in March as well, even working jointly to persuade them to calm down. This was after Hailey informed Selena that she had begun receiving death threats in addition to the usual nastiness and trashing.

“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying,” she stated on her Instagram Stories at the time. “I’ve always advocated for kindness, and I really want this to stop.”

Hailey also chimed in, praising Selena for stepping out and informing their followers that they’ve been “discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative” between them.

“The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful,” adding that times like this on social media “only create extreme division instead of bringing people together.”

“Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended,” she said, before adding that everyone, including herself, needs “to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say.”

It’s just a shame that fans who claim to love and support these women keep missing their message and misinterpret their intentions toward each other.
