Chrissy Teigen’s heart is full, as she welcomes her fourth child with her husband John Legend.
Their son Wren Alexander Stephens was born via surrogate, and the couple is grateful for “this incredible gift.”

Chrissy took to Instagram to share this great news with her followers, as well as an entire ordeal.
The model admitted she “always wanted four children,” but “after losing Jack, I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own,” she wrote. Chrissy and John lost their child Jack in 2020.
“In 2021, we reached out to a surrogacy agency, with our first correspondence inquiring about perhaps having 2 tandem surrogates, to each bring us a healthy baby boy or girl.”
Teigen stated that she told Legend that she wanted to try carrying a kid one more time and that they “restarted the IVF process” to conceive their daughter Esti, who was born in January 2023.
The couple was in the early stages of their surrogacy procedure when they met Alexandra, whom Teigen described as “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine.”
Although the first embryo they tried with Alex didn’t survive, Chrissy recalls how “hard she fought to get ready for the second transfer. How much she gave up her own body – surgeries to get scar tissue cleared, the mental toil it takes to go through all of that for yourself, much less for other people.”
The couple decided not to rush things while enjoying the first trimester of Chrissy’s pregnancy. However, as time went on, they found out Alexandra was pregnant with their little boy.
As a memorial to their surrogate, the couple gave Wren the middle name Alexander.
“And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you,” Chrissy wrote.

“Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.”
Teigen and Legend also have three children: Luna, Miles, and Esti.
Legend captioned an Instagram photo of himself and his children, “Wren Alexander Stephens, our new love.”
