Britney Spears is not considering healing her strained relationship with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, new sources claim, contrary to previous reports.

“It’s just not true,” says a source close to the “Toxic” singer.

“Britney is on a healing journey, but a reconciliation with Jamie is not in the cards,” a second source adds.

The clarification comes after TMZ reported on Wednesday that Britney, who previously said she wanted Jamie imprisoned for his involvement in her “abusive” 13-year conservatorship, was attempting to reach out to her father.

According to the publication, the Grammy winner has been yearning to contact Jamie, who is presently sick, since her recent divorce from her spouse, Sam Asghari.

Jamie has apparently been in and out of the hospital for months due to an infection caused by a knee replacement operation he had 16 years ago.

According to the site, the 71-year-old is scheduled to have another operation on Friday and has lost almost 25 pounds as a result of his health problems.

Britney’s representatives did not immediately respond to TSZ Newz‘s request for comment.

Britney, whose conservatorship ended in November 2021, presently communicates with only one member of her family: her older brother, Bryan Spears.

Bryan is reportedly stepping in to help his sister negotiate her latest divorce.

“He’s been staying over and helping her alongside a therapist,” a source told us, calling Bryan’s presence “a great thing for all of” the Spears family.

Bryan, 46, remained unnoticed throughout his sister’s protracted conservatorship struggle.

He only addressed her legal predicament publicly once, stating on a podcast in July 2020 that “having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating.”

It was previously reported that Britney, 41, had been “isolated” at her Thousand Oaks mansion after Asghari, 29, “deserted” her and filed for divorce on Aug. 16.

We learned that the “Hold Me Closer” singer was not “on good terms with her family,” especially her father and sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, but that she had an “OK” reunion with her mother, Lynne Spears, in May.

According to a TMZ report on Wednesday, Jamie is open to reconciling with Britney and has no hard feelings over the allegations she made publicly against him.

Their bond hit rock bottom in 2021 when the “Crossroads” star declared those closest to her “should all be in jail” for their part in establishing her conservatorship.

The guardianship, which was initially intended to be temporary, was established in 2008 at Jamie’s request following his daughter’s well-publicized troubles following her divorce from Kevin Federline in late 2007.
