Bam Margera appeared happy and healthy in his first public appearance since his psychiatric hold.
The former “Jackass” star was seen giving a thumbs up while taking his girlfriend, Jessica, to Nobu in Malibu, California, on Thursday afternoon.
Margera, 43, dressed down for the occasion in an all-black attire that included a graphic T-shirt, faded trousers, and sneakers.
He finished the look by wearing several chains around his neck and holding a cigarette.
Jessica wore a black bralette and matching shorts underneath an oversized denim jacket. She was also wearing nude platform sandals.
Margera was placed on involuntary 72-hour detention earlier this month after authorities discovered him slurring his words and acting strangely at Trejo’s Tacos, a restaurant owned by Danny Trejo in Los Angeles.
In light of his public suicide threats, the cops called in psychiatric evaluation professionals, who ultimately agreed that a 5150 was required.
Jess Margera, Bam’s older brother, reportedly told Page Six that he requested a wellness check on Bam after the “Viva La Bam” alum called his parents and discussed some “really dark suicidal stuff.”
Bam had warned in a since-deleted Instagram video that he would “smoke crack with the bums down at the f-king boardwalk until I’m dead” unless he could see his son, Phoenix, 5, whom he shares with estranged wife Nicole Boyd.
He held Boyd and his family responsible for “driving him to drink.”
Her attorney, David Glass, quickly replied to the troubling allegations, telling TMZ that “that’s not how addictions work” since “people’s behavior does not drive others to drink.”
He went on to say, “Nikki sincerely hopes that Bam can first achieve and then maintain sobriety for his own good and then for the good of their son.”
Boyd filed for divorce in February, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for the breakup.
She asked for Phoenix’s legal and physical custody, as well as $15,000 a month in child support and spousal support in the amount owed to her under the applicable guidelines for their nearly 10-year relationship.
It was later revealed that the model “made the hard choice to protect herself and their son” because she was concerned about the unstable stuntman’s behavior around Phoenix.
Bam, who has been in and out of treatment for over a decade, including multiple stints last year, swore off drinking in April and blasted his brother for making “false accusations of me being on meth.”
It’s unknown whether Bam joined Lamar Odom’s treatment facility after his mental hold, but following his release, Boyd accused him of sending her “abusive” text messages.
