“When they come to me, I just get them,” the Grammy winner, 30, said. “This one I knew I wanted to get for a very long time.”
“It’s Glinda from the original L. Frank Baum [‘Wizard of Oz’] book,” she revealed after displaying her “most recent” tattoo on the back of her right hand.
“I waited forever to fill up this hand,” Grande went on to say. “I thought, ‘I’m gonna wait for the right thing to come along,’ and yeah, that felt very right.”
The singer-songwriter plays Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming “Wicked” film, where she met her current boyfriend Ethan Slater.
The 31-year-old Broadway star, best known for his role as SpongeBob SquarePants in “SpongeBob SquarePants,” plays Boq in “Wicked.”
The co-star’s affair became public last month, just days after Grande’s divorce from husband Dalton Gomez made headlines.
When he joined the cast of the film, Slater was married to Lilly Jay, his high school sweetheart with whom he had a young son.
Later that same month, the actor filed for divorce.
Jay had previously slammed Grande, telling TSZ Newz that the “Sam & Cat” star was “not a girl’s girl” who had made her family “collateral damage.”
However, at the time, a source informed us that while she was “rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart… “Ariana and Ethan didn’t do anything wrong.”
According to the source, Slater was separated from his partner for two months before dating Grande.
While the pair has been photographed appearing cuddly on numerous occasions, they have yet to publicly discuss their troubled relationship.
Grande’s personal life isn’t the only thing in the spotlight this week, as she made news for apparently firing longtime manager Scooter Braun, amid claims that Demi Lovato did the same.
During her interview on Monday, the actress avoided mentioning Slater or Braun, instead raved over her r.e.m. beauty line’s Sweetener Foundation.
