Angelina Jolie’s highly anticipated mystery tattoo design has been revealed after tattoo artist Mr. K teased her middle finger art on Instagram.
Mr. K, who has previously tattooed Matt Damon, Michael J. Fox, Doja Cat, and other celebrities, had fans speculating if the tattoo was a message to her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

However, he responded to the charges by clarifying in the comments that her ink had “NOTHING” to do with the “Fight Club” actor.
However, paparazzi photos of Jolie, 48, taken earlier this week reveal that the tattoo isn’t a direct message to her ex-husband at all, but rather a little dagger made to appear to be piercing her skin.
The “Hackers” star has long been a fan of sharp symbols and has a vast knife collection, which she disclosed in 2008 is the result of a family tradition, stating her mother took her to acquire her first daggers when she was 11 or 12 years old.

Despite having several important tattoos, including a matching phrase from poet Rumi with Pitt, coordinating Buddhist symbols drawn from the same ink, and coordinates of where their six children were born, none had been a testament to her love of all things pointy until now.
Jolie spoke to ABC News in 2003 about her fixation with weapons and her collection.
“They are not shiny, brand-new, sharp knives from the store. “They’re antique beautiful knives from other countries, and they are locked in a case so my son does not touch them,” she explained.
Jolie also discussed her history of self-harm and knife use. “I had knives around…early on in my first sexual relationship, I got knives out and we attacked each other,” Jolie explained, adding, “It didn’t hurt, it was cold, and it felt so primitive and it felt so honest.”
Jolie has yet to explain the meaning of the dagger to her Instagram followers, and Mr. K promised fans he would share a close-up look at the design shortly.
Perhaps the underlying meaning of the sharp object will be revealed as well.
