Amanda Bynes has been released from the mental facility, two weeks after being hospitalized.

According to TMZ, the actress checked out on Friday night and was given a schedule to follow to ensure she keeps on top of her recuperation.

Doctors believe the Nickelodeon alum, who suffers from bipolar disorder, made significant progress during her hospital stay and will now be able to live freely, the outlet stated.

A medical specialist will check in on Bynes daily to verify she is following her treatment plan.

The psychiatric hold on the “She’s The Man” actress was extended last week after her loved ones expressed concern about her safety and well-being.

Doctors prolonged her stay by another week after she completed the necessary 72-hour hold.

Her family was growing increasingly concerned about her recurring bouts, with TMZ saying that the 37-year-old herself contacted the cops for assistance.

Police detained her and took her into custody for a mental health evaluation.

A mental health professional then ruled that she required a 5150 hold.

This is the second time this year that the actress has been placed on a psychiatric hold. Bynes was discovered naked on the streets of Los Angeles in March.

According to an eyewitness, she waved down a car and informed the driver she was having a psychiatric episode before calling the police.

Sources informed TMZ at the time that Bynes had been “on the streets for days.”

According to the former child star’s ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, who split from Bynes in July 2022, she was “off her meds” during the psychiatric episode.

She was then admitted to the hospital for over three weeks before beginning outpatient treatment.

According to different sources at the time, Bynes was not “forced to stay” at the facility but did not feel “ready to leave” quite yet.

In April, she was finally released.

Bynes, who has bipolar disorder and battles with substance misuse, was released from an eight-year conservatorship in March 2022.

The court ruled that the legal agreement was “no longer required.”
