While this is true, they often neglect that being overweight is not healthy and predisposes people to life-threatening illnesses.

Besides, who wouldn’t want to be trim and fit? Take a look at John Goodman looking dapper and suave in a fitted black suit jacket, which he paired with black trousers and a white dress shirt.

Before that, John Goodman weighed over 400 pounds until he began his weight loss journey in 2007.

The newly transformed actor always shared his journey. For example, he told ABC in 2017 “In the old days,
I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack or whatever and just go back to my old habits.”
“This time, I wanted to do it slowly. Move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore.”
John Goodman also said he had to stop drinking alcohol entirely and hired a personal trainer to keep him moving.
“I wanted to live life better,” he added.
In addition, Goodman adjusted his diet opting for a Mediterranean-style diet. These are meals that comprise mostly fish, olive oil, vegetables, nuts, and fruit.
He also increased his baseline fitness by taking at least 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day.
According to his fitness guru Mackie, “This didn’t happen overnight — it’s been an ongoing process.”
Goodman first revealed he had by 2015 he had shed 100 pounds at the “Trumbo” premiere.

John Goodman already is hitting his weight goal. Not only does he look better, but we are also sure he feels better.
