Pete Davidson’s Pals Advising Him Not To Appear On ‘The Kardashians’

Don’t look for Pete Davidson to appear on “The Kardashians,” at least not in the beginning episodes.

While Kim Kardashian appears to be eager to have her fiancé feature in her family’s new Hulu series, a source close to the “Saturday Night Live” star advises him against it.

According to our sources, Pete Davidson’s friends are pointing out to him that his career is already at a peak. “His career has taken off; what does he need this for?” said one source.

Among the projects in the works for Pete Davidson are a Joey Ramone biopic, a rom-com with “SNL” co-star Colin Jost, and a sneaker film named “American Sole.”

Pete Davidson, 28, has previously dated high-profile women (including Ariana Grande and Kate Beckinsale), but his team believes that embracing reality TV would destabilize any feeling of normalcy.

“Before he met Kim, no one knew what Pete was doing [all the time],” the source says.

Pete Davidson’s inner circle has also pointed out that men in the Kardashian orbit (such as Tristan Thompson, Lamar Odom, and Kris Humphries) typically do not fare well on reality TV.

“It’s a sure way to kill the relationship. Getting involved in the show decimates every man,” the source argues.

There is another source that says it isn’t true people are telling Pete Davidson not to participate. “He feels no pressure to be in the show. Neither do the people around him. If it happens that he’s on the show, it happens.”

A Hulu spokesperson told Variety that “The Kardashians” is the “most-watched series premiere on Hulu in the United States, and on Disney+ and Star+ among Star Originals, across all global markets to date.”

According to sources, cameras were rolling at the show’s debut earlier this month in Los Angeles, and they caught Kardashian and Pete Davidson arriving and hanging around at the event.

However, Kardashian, 41, told Variety that she has not filmed with Pete Davidson. “I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does,” she said at the time.
