Michelle Obama was great at being a first lady of the United States, but she might have a second act in an acting career as she has recently proven after her last gig.
Michelle Obama, 57, will, of course, appear as herself on the ABC show “black-ish” in tonight’s eighth and final season premiere.

In a WSJ magazine interview, Tracee Ellis Ross, who plays Rainbow “Bow” Johnson, revealed that she personally called Obama to invite her to the series.
“She and I are friends. It was a phone call I made. We got to do really important subject matter that’s mixed in with fun, so it’s receivable,” Ross, 49, said of Michelle.
“When We All Vote”, the politician’s voter registration campaign, will be promoted on-screen. She takes the Johnsons to a voting fundraiser in the episode.
Speaking of her involvement in the episode Michelle wrote on Twitter, “I’ve long been a fan of @blackishabc’s wit and all-around brilliance, and it was such a thrill to join in for an episode. I can’t wait for you all to see it!”
Meanwhile, Ross added that “It felt really fun to welcome someone so special who’s been so important in our world, in our culture, in the kinds of stories we told on ‘black-ish.’”

Michelle Obama sits next to Ross in a video posted on Twitter to announce a “black-ish” watch party and encourages viewers to volunteer. “You do not want to miss this. This is going to be a good one,” she said in the video.
