Tyler Perry has already played movie detective Alex Cross, and now he’s on the hunt for Jacqueline Avant’s killer, Clarence Avant’s wife who was tragically killed in a home invasion of the couple’s Beverly Hills property on Tuesday.
“My heart breaks for Clarence and Nicole and all the Avant family. This world can be so cruel and cold!! I have no idea what kind of sub-human could shoot an 81-year-old woman, and in her own home,” Perry wrote on Twitter Wednesday.

“But you can rest assured that every available resource will be used to find whoever is responsible for this awful nightmare. This is tremendously sad.”
Perry is reportedly worth around $1 billion thanks to his film production company Tyler Pery Studios and other ventures. He is currently producing several TV shows and films, and one of his upcoming credits as a producer is the Whoopi Goldberg sequel “Sister Act 3.”
Tyler Perry’s tweets did not indicate which of his resources would be applied to the Avant case or how it will work.
In any case, the authorities appear to be doing fine without him: Aariel Maynor, 29, was arrested for Avant’s murder on Thursday, according to CBS Los Angeles reporter Rick Montanez.
