Naomi Osaka, the tennis sensation, is ready to put her withdrawal from the French Open and decision to skip Wimbledon behind her, gathering friends this week for a much-needed getaway.

On Friday, the 23-year-old tennis pro and her close friends were seen leaving her $7 million Beverly Hills home with a number of bags and suitcases. While dressed comfortably for the trip, Osaka piled her Louis Vuitton luggage into an SUV.
The athlete wore a cropped white tee, black tights, a baseball cap, glasses, and Beats by Dre headphones.
After withdrawing from the French Open, Osaka decided not to compete in Wimbledon.
“Naomi won’t be playing Wimbledon this year. She is taking some personal time with friends and family. She will be ready for the Olympics and is excited to play in front of her home fans,” a statement from her team read.
Wimbledon reportedly reached out to her in an attempt to secure her participation in the London tournament, stating that it was “completely open for any discussions,” but to no avail.
While some, such as tennis legend Boris Becker, chastised Osaka for withdrawing from the French Open, others, such as actor Will Smith, backed her decision.
