Senior palace aides are grumbling that it’s high time for Prince Harry to give up his title after quitting his royal duties last year, according to a report.
There’s an increasing sense of “bewilderment and betrayal” inside the palace after Harry blasted his dad, Prince Charles, on Dax Shepard’s podcast this past week, claiming the elder royal passed on a “cycle” of “genetic pain and suffering” to him.

Harry, 36, also referenced his grandparents — claiming Charles’ parenting skills reflected his own upbringing by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, which sparked particular anger, aides told the Daily Mail on Sunday.
“People are appalled that he could do this to the Queen when the Duke of Edinburgh is barely in his grave. To drag his grandfather into this is so shocking and disrespectful,” one aide told the outlet.
“The Duke of Sussex has now spent a significant amount of time emphasizing that he’s no different to anyone else and attacking the institution which he says has caused him so much pain. There is a growing feeling that if you dislike the institution that much, you shouldn’t have the titles,” the aide said.
Another source told the Mail, “They should put the titles into abeyance, so they still exist but are not used like they agreed to do with their HRHs. They should just become Harry and Meghan. And if they refuse to do that, they have to explain why not.”
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, gave up their “HRH” titles, His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness, amid their split from the royal family and move to America.
More and more this royal family does not impress me as world leaders. All they seem to be about is fashion and gossip. And for that people singe allegiance and bow and curtsey. They might as well just be a rich family doing humanitarian work at this point.
