Prince Harry was seen in public with the Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family as they match to say their final goodbye to his grandfather Prince Philip, marking his first appearance with the royals since he and Meghan Markle stepped down as active royals last year.

The Duke of Sussex looked quite emotional as he walked behind the vehicle that carried his grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh towards St George’s Chapel. He was separated on the procession from his older brother Prince William by their cousin Peter Phillips.

The Queen did not lead the funeral procession, rather, Prince Charles who’s the future King and the first son of Prince Philip and the Queen did.

The Prince of Wales was in the lead group alongside his sister Princess Anne. They were closely followed by their siblings the Earl of Wessex and Duke of York.

In the third row, the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, their cousin Peter Phillips walked to the chapel for the funeral service as they all wore black face masks before entering the chapel.

The occasion is conducted by the Dean of Windsor, David Conner, and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

The Dean of Windsor opened the service by saying: “We are here today in St George’s Chapel to commit into the hands of God the soul of his servant Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

“With grateful hearts, we remember the many ways in which his long life has been a blessing to us. We have been inspired by his unwavering loyalty to our Queen, by his service to the Nation and the Commonwealth, by his courage, fortitude and faith.”

Harry is one among 30 people attending Prince Philip’s funeral in person due to coronavirus regulations as members of the public were advised to stay at home and watch from their TVs.

A national minute’s silence was held at 3 pm to commemorate the Duke of Edinburgh’s life.
